Syscon FTP Site Management and Printing Management for Paperless Environments Title: Syscon FTP Site Management and Printing Management for Paperless Environments Data Source: PVault Price: For Pricing information, please contact Syscon. Full Description The general idea of this program is to automate the process of maintaining an FTP site for contractors with downloads of the most recent set of plan revisions and documentation. The source for all posted documents will be in the PVault system. In general, the program will create a subset of files from a master set of files into a target FTP directory. The basis for deciding which files are kept in the target directory is generally the most current revisions of approved master files, but there will be exceptions to this rule. Files to be transferred to the FTP site shall be moved on an “on-demand” basis when the user starts the application, selects the desired job, and triggers an update to the FTP site. Files included in the update will be specified in a displayed grid on the main screen of the program making it in A secondary purpose to this program is to copy a group of documents selected by revision status to a user specified directory. The documents will be renamed as they are copied so they appear in a specific order in the target directory to facilitate printing as a group using the KIP printing system Program Flow 1) User adds job documents to PVault in normal imaging process and any documents that should be considered for inclusion on the FTP site must have the index “FTP Include” set to a value of “YES” 2) When the FTP Management application is opened, and a specific job is selected, the application will scan all documents associated with the job that are either specifications or drawing documents. 3) On demand, the application compiles a list of documents based on the posting rules and logic and copies the files to a user defined public FTP site into one or more FTP directories: |
