The Syscon Cost to Complete Management Program (CCMP) allows a project manager to make cost to complete projections by cost code and cost type at any time during the lifetime of the job. The projections are then "aged" from the date the projection was made as more costs are collected for the specific cost code and type. "As of" reports can be printed for any period of the job.

For example, if the concrete subcontract is projected to take and additional $10,000 to complete on a job from March of 2007, and there are $2,500 worth of costs in April of 2007 - the projection is automatically adjusted in April to indicate that there are $2,500 costs to date and the projection to complete is now $7,500 (as of April).

Indirect costs such as small tools, project management, shared equipment, and others can create unexpected profit adjustments at the end of a job. For contractors that do a large number of jobs, allocation of these shared expenses can be frustrating and time consuming—but yet necessary to understanding the real costs of jobs. This Syscon tool integrates with Sage Master Builder to do automatic allocation of shop costs, overhead costs, and administrative costs to direct costs through the general ledger.

Allocation can be done by the percentage of total job costs for each job, the percentage of total labor hours for each job, or the percentage of total revenue for each job. The process is very easy to use:
  1. Start the Syscon Overhead Allocation Program
  2. Select the range of accounting periods to consider and the allocation method
  3. Select any desired filters (job types, job super, cost type, etc.)
  4. Select the overhead accounts to distribute to jobs
  5. Allow the program to automatically calculate allocations
  6. Adjust allocations if desired
  7. Save
