Each year (and sometimes more than once a year), unions publish new rate and benefit sheets with specific start dates. There is a very methodical process in Sage 100 Contractor that allows you to get all the reports you need for the old rates, get the new rates updated in one place, then push to the employee default hourly rate, and make sure the next reports are right for the union – without over paying for a few days of overlap!
AND, we’ll review how Job Paygroups work. You can actually indicate which Paygroups are to be used on a specific job. This could save you a lot of time!
Join Catherine Wendt for a 45-minute review of this process, including tips and tricks. Registration is required – seats are limited.
If you have payroll with union employees or you use paygroups for prevailing wage jobs through Sage 100 Contractor, you need this webinar!
Free for Syscon clients and a $25 fee for guests. After approved, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.

When you’ve exhausted the reporting options with Excel or your accounting software, or you have multiple sources for your data, then you are ready to be ‘wowed’ by Microsoft’s Power BI. Options include some beautiful dashboards; summary reports that allow drill down (if you want) to specific data; availability to your field without logging into the server or accounting software; job-related summaries; special commission reports with specific rules; and the list goes on!!
Join Chris on Thursday, April 11th at 11:00 Central time as we talk about the power of Power BI, what it is, and how it works. We’ll share some scenarios we’ve seen across our client base and the creative ways they’ve chosen to use this tool. By the end of the webinar, you’ll have a few ideas to take back to your team. We’ll even have some Q&A.
Who should attend? This webinar will be great for owners and senior project managers who need information and anyone on your team who ‘loves’ writing reports or is tired of the limits of Excel and other tools. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday, April 11th – it will be great!

How old is your server? How old is the server equipment? If you’ve had it 5, 6, or even 7 years, you have been blessed! Aging server equipment can bring a whole list of problems, from less efficient power use, poor performance with new or upgraded software, security risks, and everything in between (it’s a looong list).
So, you know you need to get rid of the old equipment, but what are your options? For years this was a very straightforward question – you just replace the existing equipment with new equipment. Get the specs, estimate how much more drive space you’ll need to ‘grow,’ order the new equipment, software, licenses, cabling, and start scheduling the downtime to swap everything out and move your data and software programs. BUT, the world has changed – you have MORE options.
We’ll cover how to know that your equipment is ready to go to server-heaven, the pros, and cons of replacing the existing infrastructure, the pros and cons of moving to a cloud solution, and the pros and cons of different hosting options. If you have servers in your office or you own the equipment in a data center, you won’t want to miss this important 45 minutes. Don’t get stuck with indecision and don’t make the wrong decision. We’ll tell you everything you need to know to make the RIGHT decision!
